About Maria Weed

Painting and drawing came natural to me at an early age. Encouraged by my father, I went on to attend the Traphagen School of Fashion Design Illustration and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Today, I paint acrylic, oil, and mixed media. I find myself inspired by my surroundings, including oceans, tropical sunsets, mountain view's, rivers, lakes, and mystical mermaids. My love for painting moves me with emotion. It is my hope you will feel the energy, passion, and pleasure in one of my pieces that calls to you.
